Volunteering is easy and rewarding!
A great way to stay active in your child's education is to be involved! Being involved allows us to bring additional programs, events and resources to all of our students here at Madison Heights. It's also a great way to connect to other families and build lasting friendships. This year, there are many ways to help our school through various activities. So whether you can volunteer for an hour or you would like to chair up an event, whether you can work from home or work on site, we look forward to meeting you and working together to make this year successful!

Our big community events where we need the most help:
* Scholastic Book Fair October 19th – 26th, 2007; and April 18th – 25th, 2008. Please contact Shawna Franks, shawnaf@cox.net.
* Fall Festival October 19th, 2007. Please contact Kathi Shen
* Bingo & Teacher's Auction January 25th, 2008. Chairperson Needed! Please contact a board member.
* Family Fun Night April 25th, 2008. Chairperson and Committee Heads needed! Please contact a Board Member
Other volunteer opportunities:
Homeroom Parent
Helps classroom teacher with various activities, parties,
field trips, etc. Helps coordinate parent volunteers from the
class for PTO events and programs.

Art Masterpiece Guide
Class presentations of famous artists. All materials and
Instruction provided. NO EXPERIENCED REQUIRED.

Field Day
Assist P.E. teacher with events

Eye and Ear screenings
Assist Nurse dates to be determined

Library Helper
A wide variety of help is appreciated

Hospitality
Bring a dish for teachers conferences

Gift Wrap Sale Helper
Help with packet distribution and collecting orders.

Family Fun Night Apr. 25th
Different positions are needed including Chairperson and
Committee Leaders. We can use your help in other areas
such as making posters, making phone calls,
soliciting donations & raffle items, food & beverage,
games, etc. Lots of volunteers needed with various time commitments

Fall Festival
Chairperson, committee leaders, assistance with
entertainment, games, food & beverage, candy, making posters, etc. as well as help at the event. Lots of volunteers needed.

Bingo Night & Lunch with your Teacher Auction
Different positions are needed including Committee leaders. We can use your help in calling numbers, checking cards, etc.

Teacher Appreciation
Help with luncheon, and activities during the week of Teacher
appreciation.

Book Fair
Assist Chairperson with organizing and selling books. Oct 19- 26th &
April 18-25th
