Learning is exciting in second grade! We read a wide assortment of literature, but our favorite reading material is what we write; our own stories, personal narratives, reports, and poems.

Our math program involves many manipulatives and problem solving activities.

Social Studies and Science are integrated with math and language arts as we explore geography, communities, weather, sound, plant and animal life cycles.

One of our favorite field trips is going to the NutCracker Ballet at Shadow High School in December. We even have a ballerina visit us at Heights before seeing the performance.
